Pure fish oil
Our fish oil is made (from the fillet trimmings) of fresh Arctic wild cod that swims in the Barents Sea, located between Novaya Zemlya, Svalbard and northern Norway.
Pure algae oil
Our plant-based Omega-3 products are made from algae. Algae are tiny plants that can produce Omega-3 fatty acids themselves, even on land in closed and controlled conditions.
What is omega-3?
Omega-3 fats are important nutrients for our brain, heart and eyes and are needed in all kinds of processes in the body. They are called essential because we cannot make them ourselves (just like vitamins), but need to get them through our diet.
Because we have started eating less (oily) fish, we (children included) are getting less and less of these important Omega-3 fats. Our body needs a good supplement to this new eating pattern, more than ever. There is so much more to tell about it.

Crazy about Omega-3, serious about the sea?
It was a question that occupied me 8 years ago. As a fish oil expert, I was working for a traditional multinational at the time. My children were still young and I was looking for a good addition to the small pieces of fish that our children only reluctantly accepted back then.
On a trip to Norway I came across a fish oil that was fresher, tastier and more sustainable than the fish oils I had known until then.
That's when I knew: I want to bring this to the Netherlands. Arctic Blue was born!
