The Dutch Arctic Blue Omega-3 products (liquid or capsule) are either plant-based (made from algae oil) or made from the filleting trimmings of wild salmon, wild pollock or wild cod. Besides the fillet for the supermarket, a single cod yields no less than 1 bottle (150 ml) of oil or 250 capsules. While for many fish oils entire shiploads of sardines and anchovies go through the grinder, no extra fish is caught for Arctic Blue fish oil. You have the guarantee that we stay away from the food of dolphins, seabirds, sea lions and whales. And the guarantee that there are no harmful effects on oceans, the environment or local communities. This approach made us the first in the Netherlands to earn the MSC label, which nature organisations say is the best guarantee of sustainable fishing.
