Pure fish oil

Arctic Blue does not use plastic bottles for the liquid fish oil, only glass bottles. We are therefore certain that no hormone-disrupting substances can migrate from the plastic into the fish oil.

Pure Arctic MSC Fish Oil is produced according to GMP. Good Manufacturing Practice is the strictest quality assurance system for food supplements in existence. It is mandatory to record how and under what conditions a product is made. Raw materials are checked and a preparation protocol is maintained. This way, everything can always be traced afterwards, in case of a theoretical deviation.

Pure Arctic MSC Fish Oil shows no detectable cadmium in tests down to 50 ppb (parts per billion) and no detectable mercury in tests down to 10 ppb. This is no less than 10 x below the Norwegian medical standard and European Pharmacopoeia (handbook), which we as a manufacturer are legally required to comply with.

Pure Arctic MSC Fish Oil is also regularly tested down to 0,5 ppt without any dioxins or furans being detected. The Norwegian medical standard and European Pharmacopoeia limits for this are 2 ppt (parts per trillion). Naturally, these analyses take place in renowned international laboratories that use the same test methodology with toxicity equivalence as laid down by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Pure Arctic MSC Fish Oil shows no detectable PCBs in tests down to 0,5 ppt. The Norwegian medical standard limit for PCBs is 3 ppt.

These figures are easier to understand when you know that a large fish like tuna is legally allowed to contain up to 1 mg of mercury per kilo of fish.

1 mg/kg = 1000 ppb. Pure Arctic MSC Fish Oil contains no detectable mercury in tests down to 10 ppb and is therefore, as far as this heavy metal is concerned, at least 100 x purer than tuna.
