When I quit my job as a fish oil expert 8 years ago and started Arctic Blue, I did so because I knew that many users of Omega-3 fish oil have questions or experience uncertainties.
Knowing that I could solve them.
I want to discuss the most important points here:
- The brands of Omega-3 supplements I know make me burp up a fishy smell. This makes taking them regularly not easy. Is that normal?
- Which product should I choose?
- What about the sustainability of Omega-3 supplements?
Many people are aware of the importance of oily fish and therefore take an Omega-3 supplement. They put up with the common aftertaste or fishy smell that occurs after taking it.
What they do not know, however, is that this is not normal. The delicate unsaturated Omega-3 fats have been damaged and as a result start to oxidize, with the off-taste as a consequence.
These Omega-3 fats are also less effective.
So it is a quality problem.
You can easily prevent this by choosing a good-quality fish oil or algae oil. These can be recognized by the blue MSC label and the Vegan label respectively.
Which product should I choose?
Not everyone is the same and tastes differ. Taking an Omega-3 supplement should be manageable or even pleasant. This prevents people from giving up. Some people absolutely cannot swallow capsules. For them, we also offer every formulation in a liquid form.
Recently we also started offering a soft gummy, when we noticed that some
seniors or little ones prefer this.
Oily fish is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D.
The fatty Omega-3 oil is therefore perfect for adding the fat-soluble vitamin D to.
No unnecessary luxury when you realize that 60% of the Dutch have a vitamin D deficiency in winter.
In addition to the different Omega-3 dosages, we therefore also offer them with or without vitamin D.
What about the sustainability of Omega-3 supplements?
We get this question more and more. Logical and justified when you see how companies play fast and loose with this.
We have a strong opinion about this and a lot to tell, which is why we prefer to do so on a separate page: https://www.arctic-blue.com/duurzaam.
Onze principes
1. Schone visolie
