The Dutch company Arctic Blue offers omega-3 products (liquid or capsules) that are plant-based (made from algae oil) or made from the fillet trimmings of wild salmon, wild pollock, or wild cod. A single cod, in addition to the fillet sold in supermarkets, yields as much as 1 bottle (150 ml) of oil or 250 capsules. While many fish oil products require entire shiploads of sardines and anchovies to be processed, no additional fish are caught for Arctic Blue fish oil. You have the guarantee that we do not harvest dolphins, seabirds, sea lions, or whales for food.
