Pure fish oil

Arctic Blue uses no plastic bottles for the liquid fish oil, but only glass bottles. We are therefore certain that no hormone-disrupting substances can migrate from the plastic into the fish oil.

Pure MSC Fish Oil is produced in Norway in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). GMP is the strictest quality assurance system for dietary supplements in existence. It mandates that the methods and conditions under which a product is manufactured be documented. Raw materials are inspected, and a manufacturing protocol is maintained. This ensures that everything can always be traced retroactively in the event of a theoretical deviation.

Pure MSC Fish Oil shows no detectable cadmium in tests up to 50 ppb (parts per billion) and no detectable mercury in tests up to 10 ppb. This is a full 10 times below the Norwegian medical standard and the European Pharmacopoeia (handbook), which we, as a manufacturer, are legally required to comply with.

Pure MSC Fish Oil is also regularly tested down to 0.5 ppt, with no dioxins or furans detected. The Norwegian medical standard and European Pharmacopoeia limits for this are 2 ppt (parts per trillion). Of course, these analyses are conducted in reputable international laboratories that use the same testing methodology with toxicity equivalence as established by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Pure MSC Fish Oil shows no detectable PCBs in tests down to 0.5 ppt. The Norwegian medical standard limit for PCBs is 3 ppt.

These figures are easier to understand if you know that a large fish like tuna is legally allowed to contain up to 1 mg of mercury per kilo of fish.

1 mg/kg = 1,000 ppb. Pure MSC Fish Oil contains no detectable mercury in tests up to 10 ppb and is therefore at least 100 times purer than tuna with regard to this heavy metal.
